PEIP 2002-2003 List of Projects List of Priority Environmental Investment Projects under PEIP in 2003 [pipeline] Events 2nd Regional Meeting – June 2003 Ohrid, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia The second regional meeting gathered experts and decision makers from South Eastern Europe and representatives from the donor community and international financing institutions. The meeting was focused on endorsement of the Priority Environmental Investment Programme (PEIP) and discussions on the implementation of the PEIP. Additionally, the follow-up activities for the Network of Environmental and Finance Specialists were discussed. The main aims of the meeting were to discuss the work on regional environmental priorities, to present the approach towards prioritisation of environmental investment projects, to discuss the status of collecting national lists of priority projects and to discuss the draft regional assessment of the institutional and policy framework for implementation of the environmental investment projects. The approach to project identification and prioritisation and outcomes of the first phase were approved by the ministries of environment of SEE countries and presented in the 2003 publication: Developing a Priority Environmental Investment Programme for South Eastern Europe.
