Neretva Delta Activities Wetlands Action plan for sensitive wetlands in the Neretva Delta The aim of the action plan was to assist the managers of protected areas in defining the priorities and costs related to strengthening the institutions that oversee the Hutovo Blato Nature Park in Bosnia and Herzegovina and five protected areas in Croatia. In Hutovo Blato park, a three-day workshop was held for staff members of the nature park, local focal points for the Ramsar Convention and the LIFE programme, NGOs and Cantonal environmental ministry representatives. Priorities were identified for the management of the park. Action plan for priority measures for sensitive wetlands One of the main priorities for nature conservation in the Delta is to have management and action plans, which currently do not exist, for protected areas. In Croatia, a precondition for a management plan would be the establishment of a nature park, which requires intensive public education. A first draft of the action plan for the Hutovo Blato Nature Park was produced.
