Training programme "Train the Trainer" 2 Based on the feedback received from the participants of the first training session, the programme Train the Trainer 2 was developed for enforcement agencies and inspectorates by the international senior trainers. The programme covered topics (12-KByte PDF file) such as the OECD draft glossary and explanation of common English words in enforcement, training skills, organisation of a training programme, and interviews and checklists. However the main focus of the training was on minimum criteria for inspections and integrated pollution prevention and control (IPPC). The first training session focused on training the individual participants, while the second training focused on country-by-country performance. The programme was interactive, including lectures, discussions and team presentations. During the training the country teams developed a detailed training programme to be delivered in their respective nations. The Secretariat provided the training programme in cooperation with the international senior trainers on September 1-2, 2002, in Szentendre, Hungary. Twenty participants (20-KByte PDF file) of the training programme were environmental inspectors from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro and FYR Macedonia. Most of the participants were the same as in the first training session. The participants considered the training programme successful (155-KByte PDF file). The participants who took part in both training sessions received a certificate of attendance. The trainers provided conclusions (9-KByte PDF file) on both training sessions. Each country team made a presentation in the following fields: training skills, organisation of a training programme, minimum criteria for inspections and IPPC.
Each country team developed a detailed training programme.
