Training programme "Train the Trainer" 1 Based on the Assessment of Environmental Enforcement Agencies in the Stability and Association Process Countries, a training programme "Train the Trainer" for the enforcement agencies and inspectorates was developed by the international senior trainers. The program covered modules (PDF file) such as training and presentation skills, regulatory cycle, permitting, self-monitoring, monitoring, minimum criteria for inspections, frequency of inspections, and on-site inspection. The program was interactive, including lectures, discussions, teamwork and individual presentations. The Secretariat provided the training program in cooperation with the international senior trainers on May 19-21, 2002, in Seregelyes, Hungary. Twenty participants (PDF file) of the training program were environmental inspectors from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, the State Union Serbia and Montenegro, and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. The participants considered the training program successful. The follow-up two-day training for the same participants will take place in September 2002, in Hungary. This training program will cover modules specially selected by the participants of the training in May.
