Project Summary: The project will educate youth and strengthen public participation in environmental decision making. Methods include the preparation of a booklet for children, seminars for teachers and the municipality, and a media campaign.

of Natural Heritage

Project Summary: In the region of Goricko Natural Park (under establishment), local authorities and residents should be educated about the EC and Slovene regulations on water and nature protection. In 11 local communities seminars will be held to promote water saving and natural water management.

Promotion of Organic Farming, Environmental Farming Standards  USD 10,000
NGO Name: Slovenian Union of Organic Farmers

Project Summary: The project plans to educate local communities, farming schools and farmers about pollution and new EU regulations. Project includes a media campaign and the promotion of organic farming.

Environmentally Friendly Diapers and Washing Detergents  USD 10,000
NGO Name: Stork Association of Family Members
Project Leader: Spelca Morojna                                    
Project Summary: Reduction of water pollution is envisaged through promotion of re-usable cotton nappies, disposal of waste in nappies through the sewage system and eco-friendly washing detergents. Lobbying, media coverage and awareness raising campaigns, suggestions for subventions of eco-friendly dippers.
