Project Summary: The main goal of the project is raising public awareness, protection of health of people, especially Rhoma people through protection of environment in Rhoma communities with adequate usage and management of organic waste. Project components are promotion of principles of sustainable development through public awareness about health protection, production of healthy food and reduction of poverty in local communities.

Project Summary: This project deals with all three areas of sustainable development through the treatment of medical and aromatic herbs with the involvement of different interested groups with the aim of reducing the destruction of populations and habitats of medical and aromatic herbs. The project forwards the principles of sustainable development in the local community and establishes cooperation with all interested groups, especially the business sector. A special focus of the project is the reduction of poverty through a presented model of sustainable development, which can be used in other regions.

Project Summary: This project consists of the creation of a pilot farm for promoting sustainable organic agriculture and agro-biodiversity heritage by raising local autochtonous breads and varieties using organic farming methods. It will raise interest in the region about organic agriculture, genetic resources and village heritage. The project also consists of promoting the old ways of production of food, fostering the economy in the region of south Serbia.

Project Summary: The goal of the project is to promote traditional approaches to the treatment of wool and coloring of kilims (carpet), through mobilizing of companies dealing with the wool issue, educative activities, media campaigns in order to achieve the overall goal – the principle of sustainable development in the region of Stara Planina. Products of the project are documentary movie about the wool, printed material (posters and leaflets), big international manifestation “Wool forum” in May 2005 as the final activity of the project.

The products of the project will be a brochure and a bilingual CD with the overview of the potentials of Park of Nature and results of the project activities.

Project Summary: The goal of the project (which is the continuation of already under way project of the municipality of Subotica) is reduction and the removal of ambrosia landfills, and raising public awareness about the problem of pollen and ambrosia which affects the human health, as well as initiation of legal regulations covering this issues via conducting a round table for all stakeholders. The project will be followed by a strong media and public campaigns, informing the public via green telephone, TV and radio broadcasts, the Bulletin, press conferences and web site. The final activity will be the inquiry about the knowledge about the treated issue and comparation with the previously conducted inquiries.

Also the goal of the project is to employ people, to help in economy development of one of the most undeveloped regions of the South western parts of Serbia via conducting trainings and setting coordinators who will track the changes and help the local population get introduced with the key issue of the project.
