REC Databases and Directories
For everything from contact information on environmental NGOs, businesses and government representatives, to information on the region's environmental experts or upcoming environmental events, check out our fully searchable databases.

REC Library and Information Services
Library and Information Services (LIS) is intended to support environmental stakeholders and the public at large interested in obtaining fast, free and professional access to environmental information about Central and Eastern Europe. This is made possible through an Information Request Service, access to the REC's Library Catalogue and the directory of Environmental Information Centres, Resources and Services.

NGO Electronic Networking
Our environmental NGO electronic networking project, focusing on the countries of South Eastern Europe, brings together networks to share information on-line and cooperate on addressing environmental issues.

Media Information Service
This service is specifically tailored to help journalists from the region increase and improve their environmental reporting, but anyone can sign on, free.

Green Horizon Quarterly Magazine
Check out the REC's quarterly environmental magazine for in-depth, critical news and features about what's happening environmentally in the region, from sustainable cities to genetic engineering to climate change negotiations. Covering all 15 countries of Central and Eastern Europe, GreenHorizon is the place to read about the opinions and recommendations of key players in the region, from government officials to business representatives to NGOs. Information Society Technologies
Information Society Technologies (ISTs, formerly known as "Telematics") describes the application of telecommunication technologies to the growing world of informatics. Products and services are intended ultimately for the benefit of the decision-maker and society, and help contribute to the creation of a user-friendly information society.
