What is the Balkan Information Service (BIS)?

The Balkan Information Service (BIS) is intended to support all stakeholders involved in implementation of the Regional Environmental Reconstruction Programme for South Eastern Europe (REReP). The BIS assists these stakeholders, as well as the public at large,  in retrieving environmental information related to South Eastern Europe (SEE), keeping up-to-date on REReP project results and in strengthening their networks and cooperation in the region.
 

What are the main services offered by the BIS?

The BIS offers access to a wide range of environmental information and unique SEE-focused resources through its library and information request service. We also encourage you to take advantage of a wide range of databases and the Green Horizon bi-monthly news brief.
 

Where can I find contact information for governments, non-governmental organisations and other institutions and organisations in South Eastern Europe?

 Where can I find information on particular REReP projects?

The REReP Web site features a database on all current REReP projects. For further information, please contact the REReP Secretariat.
 

What is the Regional Environmental Reconstruction Programme for South Eastern Europe (REReP)?

The Regional Environmental Reconstruction Programme (REReP) is the basis for environmental policy in South Eastern Europe and the main environmental component of the Stability Pact, Working Table II. For more information, please consult the REReP Web site.
