Summary
The objective of this project, which is financed by ITF and implemented by REC Country Office Croatia, is to explore preliminary energy saving potential in industry, with focus on small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

IThe project is based on the following core activities:

  • building the capacity of SMEs to plan and implement different energy-efficiency measures and technologies through interactive training activities; and
  • presenting the technical, economic and financial feasibility of energy efficiency measures through case studies on SMEs.

Case studies of trained companies will be reviewed and evaluated by local/foreign experts. The project will also explore financing models for developing feasibility studies and implementing projects. Companies will be encouraged to apply for the funding available.

These case studies will be identified according to the highest environmental/economic benefits to qualify for further project implementation, and will act as the base for pilot projects in the future development of an energy efficiency network.
