| Twenty-two case studies
(one for each environmental topic) serve as the basis for the dilemma game. Each
case study presents an environmental dilemma followed by several possible
responses to the problem. Both positive and negative aspects of each
response are then provided to demonstrate the complexities of the
situations. |
 |
By working through the dilemmas in this game, teachers
and students can engage in in-depth discussions on particular aspects
of the conflicts between environmental protection and economic development.
The students learn to appreciate and respect varying opinions and the
consensus-building process.
