After its endorsement in March 2000, the implementation of the Regional Environmental Reconstruction Programme for South Eastern Europe (REReP) was carried out through the Quick Start package. Altogether, more than over EUR 20 millions worth of projects was implemented from 2000 to 2003. The REC was one of the key implementing agencies of these projects. REReP developed into a very successful innovative mechanism for assisting the countries based on strong countries' ownership and leadership as well as strong international commitment and coordination of all activities. The REC will present a number of publications in Kiev presenting the overall status of implementation of the programme as well as specific project results.
