The REC contributed to the programme on "Water and sustainable development" at the Waterdome. It showcased a project focused on water as a crossroad between development and the environment by presenting the findings of its Tisza River Project.

The project involved five Central and Eastern European countries (Romania, Ukraine, Slovakia, Hungary and Serbia and Montenegro), and was funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the British Embassy. The REC's country offices of Hungary and Serbia and Montenegro will be responsible for this presentation <www.rec.org/tisza>.
