 The World Summit on Sustainable Development: the REC in Johannesburg

The World Summit on Sustainable Development took place on August 26 to September 4, 2002. The REC participated in the event 

to further its commitment to environmental issues in Central and Eastern Europe, gaining insight into how similar problems are tackled around the world. The REC also shared its experiences of the past 12 years in a region that has undergone profound political changes. The REC actively participated in a variety of events at World Summit on Sustainable Development

the Summit. This website shares that information. Links to several important UN documents can also be found here.
