Financing Climate Protection in Central and Eastern Europe


Goal:
To discuss opportunities for and channels of financing climate protection measures and projects in the Economies in Transition in Central and Eastern Europe

Specific objectives:

  • To assess experiences in AIJ as a mechanism for environmental financing in CEE
  • To review public and private sector responses to the challenge of reducing emissions
  • To identify points of leverage with national, regional and international sources of environmental financing

Attendees:
Government, the finance and business community from CEE and OECD countries, NGO's, Capacity for Climate Protection project team.
